After a whole year waiting, we can say at last that we are in the Pride Barcelona week officially.
Yesterday, Monday 21st, the official reception for institutions, media, politics celebrities, collaborators and volunteers was celebrated at the impressive W hotel. Among glad faces, smiles and wonderful views at the Mediterranean sea, all the guests agreed that the enclave was ideal to celebrate this event.
After 8pm, Jordi Hereu, mayor of Barcelona, began his openning speech. With his own words, the mayor wanted to stress the tolerant nature of Barcelona and he said he felt proud of having such an associative and business net capable of organizing this kind of events since, according to Hereu, these acts meant a great benefit for the LGTB collective image, but also for the city itself.
This second edition provides many improvements, among them: two days of celebration in the Maria Cristina Avenue, Satuday and Sunday; more guest artists, more floats and a night and day activity program much wider.
